SUNWAY Iskandar – The Master Plan
As outlined in the Master Plan, the township is made up of six beautifully crafted precincts, each meticulously planned and equipped with comprehensive services and amenities nestling in a well-designed environment.
At the Lakeview Precinct, the 20-acre Emerald Lake takes centre stage. Fronting the lake are modern stylish residential and commercial spaces. In the heart of the township lies the Capital precinct which presents a set of themed hotels, a business park, an education park and a medical park. The Parkview precinct provides a community for botanical living with well-maintained lawns and flowering gardens while the Riverside precinct features a residential area with the 7km Pendas River surrounded by mangroves and tropical vegetation. The Seafront precinct showcasing a 5km beach front overlooking Singapore consists of exclusive homes and commercial spaces with expansive views and is set to host the Ecological Theme Park. At the Marketplace precinct serenity and urbanity merge whereby residents enjoy their one-stop hub for retail and commercial facilities such as paved piazzas, boutiques, galleries and artisan shops.
The development will be delivered in phases and the first precinct to be launched is the Lakeview precinct. Fronting the 20-acre emerald lake surrounded by mangroves with expansive views of the sea and the Singapore skyline, the Lakeview precinct offers lakeside living at its finest.
To date, Citrine at the Lakeview precinct, along with Sunway International School (SIS), has been lauched. Spanning across 5.22 acres, Citrine is a self sustaining mixed development comprising of retail suites, offices, and serviced apartments. The launch of the project has received a strong reception and Citrine office suits were sold out within weeks of its launch.
The latest launched projects within the Lakeview Precinct include the Emerald Residence which comprises link house, courtyard home, garden villa, link semi-D and semi-D and the Emerald Boulevard 88 collection, a development featuring 2 and 3 storey urban retail shops.
Integrated Community, Integrated Township
With its 42 years of expertise in building integrated communities enabled by its unique Build-Own-Operate business model, Sunway Property stands out and remains one of the largest stakeholders of township developments in Malaysia.
Sunway certainly lives up to its pledge as Master Community Developer as its integrated township models have met with great success through its unique Build-Own-Operate model. Its award-winning flagship project, Sunway Resort City, has turned an 800-acre old, disused tin mine devoid of population and economic life into a vibrant township with 200,000 people including 50,000 students who live, learn, work and play in a healthy, safe and well-connnected environment. The success of its flagship integrated township has also been successfully replicated in Sunway City Ipoh which restores a lacklustre town back to life.
Sunway Property takes pride in striving a balance between business performance and customer experience as it aims to build communities in which nature and culture flourish. At the same time, they also build communities where the best education for the children can be provided, creating a hub for business growth as well as a place to bring forward the aspiration in life.
Living Sunway , Living Community
Sunway Berhad Managing Director of Property Development Division Ms Sarena Cheah shares that Sunway operates with the primary goal of serving the community. By putting the community first, other aspects will naturally fall into places as the team develop and plan according to community needs and desires. Sarena believes that the property sector plays a crucial role in creating sustainable communities that help shape built environments and attracts like-minded communities to further progress together within an area.
The vibrancy and characteristics of a city stem from the people living in it while the sustainability of an environment is strongly linked to the people living within the space. The key is sustainability, a long-term commitment. Hence Sunway priorities sustainability and look at their developments from a long-term perspective. Sunway does not regard itself as a developer of buildings but rather as a developer of relationships and communities.
“Every master planning starts with the community as we listen, observe and then carefully design each and every development with sustainability in mind. This is how we perceive ourselves as a Master Community Developer that operates with a forward-looking view to ensure that our communities are growing alongside with us”, further elaborates Sarena Cheah.
Smart Living Engaging Communities
Sunway is also committed to innovating the living spaces of the communities, investing in R&D and building partnerships with established companies such as Hitachi, Daiwa and the like to deliver quality homes that allows the community to enjoy ubiquitous smart living in a well-planned environment. Sunway Iskandar is destined to be home to the first 100 quality pre-fabricated landed homes developed by Daiwa House Industry Co. Ltd, a top pre-fabricated home builder in Japan.
To foster and nurture a long-term growth in tandem with the community in Johor, efforts are channelled to engage the public by hosting community driven events in Sunway Iskandar including Movie by the Lake, World Environment Day, Viper Challenge and other initiatives.
